Repair Options and Pricing

SETUP AND FRETWORK

Setup work involves adjustment only, and no physical alteration of hardware, frets, or wood. A basic setup, for instance, includes adjustment of truss rod, adjustment of nut slots, and adjustment of saddles to bring the guitar to factory specs (neck relief, action, and intonation), or the user’s preferred specs. Also includes cleaning and polishing of guitar body and frets and changing of strings. We almost always recommend at least our deluxe setup (includes level and crown) for the best possible playability, even on new guitars.

30-DAY SETUP WARRANTY

We will always ask you to play your guitar when you pick it up, so we can make final adjustments, but we understand that it takes a few days of playing your guitar to make sure it’s set up exactly right for you!  We offer a 30-day warranty on all setup work.  Just bring the guitar back in for further adjustments. No appointment needed, but it’s always nice to know you’re coming. In most cases, we will do it while you wait.

* Does not include price of strings. Most customers bring a set of their preferred strings. Add $10 for tremolo equipped guitars (strats, floyd rose, etc.) or 12 strings.

** Fret Level and Crown services now utilize our Plek Station!  This desirable service provides accuracy far beyond what can be accomplished with a manual fret dress.  We are the only Plek center in East Tennessee. Stainless Steel Frets will be charged an additional $30.

*** Maple fretboards may be extra due to the likelihood of having to refinish the fretboard.  Stainless Steel refrets are available at a $150 upcharge.  Partial refrets are also available.
